Cinedelia is a film production company focused on socio-environmental projects that value not only economic but also human development. Founded in 2006 by André D’Elia, the independent production company initiated the genre of activist socioenvironmental cinema, currently known as “cinema pedrada.” Cinedelia produced Belo Monte: Announcement of a War (2012) - a film that became famous for being the most prominent crowdfunding case in Brazil's open platform (internet). The company also produced “The Water Law” (2015), the documentary “Old Lord Savana” (2018) - a film that proved to be an essential instrument of political articulation for the expansion of the Chapada dos Veadeiros National Park in the state of Goiás, Brazil. After winning festivals, “Old Lord Savana” was acquired by Netflix Brazil and Netflix United States.

About us:

In October 2019, the production company launched the intense “The King’s Friend”, a hybrid documentary and fiction film about mining, politics, and the crime tragedy that destroyed the Doce River, now available on the Amazon Prime platform. Among many other campaigns in defense of the environment and indigenous peoples, in 2017, Cinedelia launched the acclaimed "Demarcation Now!" with 25 of the greatest Brazilian artists (such as Elza Soares, Arnaldo Antunes, Criolo, Maria Bethânia, Gilberto Gil, Ney Matogrosso, and Lenine). In partnership with Greenpeace, APIB, ISA, and many others, the "Demarcation Now!" campaign is the most viewed campaign to defend indigenous peoples of all time. The film had more than 4.8 million views.

Cinedelia provides services to numerous NGOs, Indigenous Associations, and Quilombola Associations. It is known for its ethical positioning and found its large audience in free screenings in schools and universities, becoming a reference in the unconventional distribution in educational institutions, especially in Biology, Geography, Environmental Management, and postgraduate courses in economics. More recently, Cinedelia produced the “Decade of the Oceans” campaign for UNESCO and RARE Brazil, narrated by Mateus Solano. Porto Sul - Não Vale
Turning Point

A documentary feature film project about the installation of a port for the disposal of iron ore in the district of Aritaguá, on the southern coast of Bahia (15 km from Ilhéus). It is an essentially activist film, with a focus on revealing to the public the great environmental destruction that is underway and the perpetuation of neocolonial economic system - where the right of the local population is suppressed to the detriment of the interests of large companies and corrupt politicians.

Turning Point (correcting the course to a just future) is a series that aims to explain the true core of the term "climate justice"; it focuses on tackling the climate crisis from a justice lens. The series highlights that we can't just make the same world we have now but "green." It wants to address and transform the oppressive systems that inflict violence on both people and the planet.
